founders biography.
As a Myrrh-bearer and water mystic, Karin weaves together threads of dance music, poetry and singing, quantum activism, performance art, Egyptian, Celtic and Andean nature mysticism and Kundalini yoga into her investigations of what it means to be a modern day templar.
She also holds an honours degree in modern languages and a postgraduate diploma in landscape design.
In the late 90’s, while working in Tokyo, Karin spent a year deeply immersed in the melting pot of Tokyo’s counter-cultural scene. Upon returning to London, her experience inspired her to create a body of work that she called ‘Future Experiments’.
‘6 months in Silence’ involved Karin taking a 6 month selfdocumented deep-dive into silence. The project was widely reported in the UK press, and earned her a reputation as an innovative cultural commentator.
After meeting her husband, Karin took a 20 year detour into family life and had 3 children. Her middle child, and only son, died in childbirth. This experience was the crucible, alongside her subsequent marriage breakdown and divorce, that set Karin on the path that lead to her spiritual awakening, and the creation of the Myrrhmaid project.
In late 2020, as the covid crisis hit the world, the accumulation of disorientation, grief, and rapid spiritual awakening, lead Karin into a deep spiritual emergency that landed her, for a short time, in a psyche ward.
During this time of spiritual awakening, she experienced a portal opening, and she received the archetypal blueprints, that would later inform the creation of the Myrrhmaid project and coaching programme.
During the integration years that followed, Karin became clear that her life’s work was to create events, 1-2-1 and group coaching spaces to support personal and global healing and rebalancing at the deepest levels, while providing a place of community connection for like-minded people.
